Bunco

I hosted our monthly bunco group on Thursday night. My theme, Dips, Drink and Dice. After getting tables set up and trying to get Ava dressed so she could go with Josh and Lilie to dinner this is where I found her.

Must have been a lucky spot I started here and won most wins:) thanks naked butt!
Here is the list of dips I made that were a big hit! I realised after everything was gone I never got a photo of the food:(

Sweet ~ Serve with apple slices, pear slices, gingersnap cookies, or graham cracker sticks.
Savory ~ Serve with mini pitta chips and sour dough bread slices.

Lemon Cheesecake Cheese Ball

Ingredients:
10 oz. cream cheese
2½ tbsp. sugar
Zest of 1 large lemon
4 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 graham crackers
Directions:
Combine the cream cheese and sugar in a medium bowl. Stir together with a spoon or spatula until well combined and smooth. Mix in the lemon zest and lemon juice until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a piece of plastic wrap and shape into a ball, wrapped tightly. Refrigerate until firm, at least 3 hours. Reshape if necessary once firm.
Coarsely crush the graham crackers and transfer the crumbs to a plate or bowl. Roll the cheese ball in the crumbs until evenly coated. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Toffee Dip with Apples

3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup toffee pieces (Skor, Heath, etc)

Combine first four ingredients in bowl with mixer until smooth. Stir in toffee bits and mix well. Cover and chill

Clam Dip
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 can drained clams
a few green onions chopped up fine
a little Worcestershire sauce

Cream together then beat an egg white until stiff and fold into the cream cheese mixture. You can use it as a dip or spread it on little pieces of french bread and broil it until golden brown

~Drinks~
A few of the gals went on a trip to Hawaii and came back with a love of POG (Pineapple Orange Guava) and Malibu. And I thank them and hate them for this drink. It is soo good!

I mixed up two of these and was left with only 1/4 of a bottle mind you this is without Malibu. The Malibu was pretty light too:) Wine and water were also an option and beer thanks to Neighbor Amanda:)
