G-ma Pattie

Fun things we do with G-ma Pattie:

Paint nails Love on cats

Play in the spa and then bath time Ava fell in love with G-ma candy canes so G-ma snuck them into the car once Ava was in her carseat. Ava was so excited to get them. She refers to all things Christmas, lights, Christmas trees, candy canes, Santa's and all those blowup things in front yards as a "Merry Christmas". Lilie kept saying, "the suns in my eyes" so...

30th annual Turkey Trot

The Turkey Trot is a run the kids and parent do every year for the last 30 years. This year was the first year the trot was rained out and post pond a week. The kinders run around the track while the 1-3 graders run one mile and the 4-8 graders run two miles on SpringGrove Rd. They start out stretching as a whole school in matching shirts on the black top and ends with the top runners boy and girl in each grade getting a frozen turkey.
Stretching (this is fun to watch)Waiting for 3rd grade girls to go
Off they go!
Crossing the finish line
Waiting to turn in her number (#83) (Ava & I didn't run this year next year we will again)

Quilt

Lilie was reading the, The Talking Cloth in school. Her homework was to make an Adinkra cloth ie quilt that told what was important to her. Since I am in the middle of making Christmas stockings for the family she got to use the scraps I had. I cut and pinned the fabric she did the sewing.
Such concentration
First sewing project (8x11 quilt) Front
