Ava is one ::sigh::

We went to the doctor today for Avas one year old check up & Lilies 7 year old check up the start are following:
Lilie: 60lbs and 40 3/4" tall
Ava: 21.12 lbs 30" long

(whoo hoo turn that carseat around!)

It is hard for me to believe I have such big girls. Boy how time flys! It seems just like yesterday we are bringing them home.

Girls Scout Camp

While we are home doing the everyday stuff Lilie got to spend the week in Santa Cruz going to Girls Scout Camp. Here are a couple of photos my sister sent to my phone.

favorite PJ's

I found these at K-Mart (yeah we still have one in Hollsiter) I don't go in often even though it is cleaner and better organized then Target but checking out sucks and their carts are so nasty. But, these are the best PJ's the feet flip over to cover her toes and they have grip on the bottom (this would be the frog foot picture. Then you unflip and just fold them (cuff style) and they are regular PJ's. They also came with shorts. Not bad for $6 and they are soft!

Dressing 101

In the mornings Ava has been pointing at her closet so I have let her "pick/grab" her outfits a few times this week. I have learned a few fashion lessons.

1. It's very important to make sure you have the right size on. To small the the snaps pop open. To big and your snaps hang to your knees.

2. Now lets talk pattern and color. Pink is pretty but should you ware pink stripes with flowers in pink and orange? If you are Ava it's a must have. We must not forget the shinny pink shoes!

3. It's important to be fashionable no matter what you are doing. Be it outside playing with friends or breaking into your sisters bedroom.

Slip n slide

Nice weather+nice neighbors=slip 'n slide fun! Lilie was sleeping while Ava was playing.

I love when I can find cute Big Sister/Little Sister outfits. I am not into the matching thing to much but this was cute!

swim lessons 2009

Both girls are taking classes. It's fun to take part and watch.
Ava is learning to jump in and hold her breath. We are working on kicking and blowing bubbles but she is adamant that all she wants to do is jump and "swim". Ava will put her head under and I will push her (and let go) and Mrs Jodi (the teacher) catches her. Ava comes up smiling! She is the youngest in the class and the only one doing this the other two girls hate having their heads in the water. Ava hates to float on her back but loves to be on her stomach.
Lilie is learning the side stroke and working on cleaning up the breast stroke and free style. She is also learning how to dive in. We might do a second session with Lilie. Her belly was so red from flopping it hurt me to look at it! But she is figuring it out.
Both girls are fish and that is not a Sutton trait.

Oh those nice long days of summer

Thank goodness Pedipeds are good in the water. Ava decided to make sure all the sprinklers we working properly while Lilie rode her new birthday bike. Lilie also had to try out the cool new light-up hula hoop. (It's better at night)

7th birthday in San Francisco

For the last few year Lilie has chosen to take a "trip" instead of having a birthday party. This year we went to the California Academy of Science. Uncle Dan and Tanta went with too. After the CAS we headed to the Fishermans Wharf just to walk around and get some fresh bread from the Boudin Bakery. Then it was off to meet some friend for dinner at the Park Chelet across from the beach. I have so many pictures I will spread them out today California Academy of Science.
