We attended the the 7th Annual Wine & Roses Dinner/Dance Casino & Auction Fundraiser on Saturday night. This year they raised $31,000. It was so much fun, silent auction, live auction, raffle, dancing, eating and drinking with great friends/. The Wine & Roses fundraiser has traditionally been the Spring Grove PTO's largest fundraiser of the year. The PTO has a yearly budget of $40,000 for each school year to support educational tools (Study Island, Reading Counts), school wide improvements (trees, benches, phone system) and field trips/extras that the regular school budget does not cover. In order to continue funding these activities for our children, this annual event has recently been imperative to supplementing that budget since our school wide fundraisers have been falling short of goals in these difficult financial times.
