Mom in me

Many of you know my mom collects "minis" and I guess a little of her is in me. All I thought when I looked at these mini bagels was mini bagel sandwiches! Thank goodness the poacher makes small egg rounds.

6 month check up

Ava had her 6 month check up today and Lilie went back to school. Ava has a cold so no shots for two more weeks. We will go back in two days if she still has a fever she might be getting an ear infection.

Ava's stats were:
Weight: 16 lbs 15 oz (65th% up 15oz since last month)
Height: 27 1/2" (100% up one and half inches since last month)
Head Circumference: 17 1/4"

a week in a puppy's life

We took Barley home on the 1st and Josh has had his dog fix. We are good without a dog for a while. I think Josh had forgotten what it's like to have a puppy around. Check out the week we had with Barley here. It looks like all he did was lay around but he did get plenty of exercise :-) and is very good at walking next to a stroller I only ran over his foot twice before he figured out not to walk in front of the wheel. Can you tell that he is such a family dog. Barley's biggest fan turned out to be Dusty. He kept saying good dog, sit, stay, good dog. I was awakened this morning to Dusty copying Barley's, "let me in" sound this morning. I would have sworn Barley was scratching on the window and whining and talking to get in if I hadn't known better.

peek-a-book or two

While Ava and I played peek-a-boo Lilie and my Dad, Step Mom and Sister put all of Lilie's books away in her new book case they gave her for Christmas. Next is arranging the books by size, yikes! It's amazing how many books you can collect in six and a half years.
