Toothless Cat

Yesterday we hit the farmers market in Morgan Hill and had this cat follow us home. It was kind of funny the fruit we purchased (among lots of other stuff) was from Turlock! Josh said it must be all the cow crap that makes it taste so good:) One of my favorite things I picked up was this stuff called Pure Baba it's like Hummus but made with Roasted Eggplant. It's great on the wheat/white fresh pita's I got. (Lilie LOVES it too!)

Late last night Lilie lost her second front tooth. I waited until this morning to take her photo can you tell? While Lilie is loosing teeth Ava is working on getting her molars in.

Looks like she has fangs, gross!

Carseat Ava style

With a little help from Sara I got Ava's reverable Minky/pretty floral Britax carseat cover made. Ava can now ride in style and comfert, (she only sleeps on Minky, what a pain I have created).

Now to make a Minky blanket for me...I already have the pretty floral fabric purchased next is the minky...

Bakers Dozen

Big thank you to Papa Larry and Mrs. Sara for all the help getting Lilie to her three days of cooking school. She had a blast and wants to go again. (I guess we have something to fall back on when Tae Kwon Do is done.) Lilie came home with a cook book of things she had made, some samples too and a new taste for food. She is going to be remaking one of the recipies she made at school on Saturday at the request of Neighbor Dan. He was one of the few to sample what she brought home. Sara brought Lilie home today with half a box of strawberries and a request to make a Strawberry Custared Pie, so we did.

Lilie also came home with a Sourdough Starter. This will sit on our counter for 3 days then in the frig until we are ready to make some sourdough.

Melon

Yesterday I got around to cutting up the watermelon from the farmers market and this is the aftermath...

They both ate three peices 1/4 of the mellon.

Summer sleep over

Lilie and Summer have spent the night at each others house this summer. They watched movies from the Red Box ate pizza, laughed and played. This is the monkeys picking the plums off my tree and the pancakes we made the next morning. The girls "decorated" their pancakes, half mini chocolate chips half blue berrys.

Family Day

We spent the day as a family doing things together on Sunday! This does get a little harder when there are so many things going on but we did it:) First it was a nice 2.5 mile walk with the dogs and kids, then some yard work and house stuff.Off for a picnic at Casa de Fruta and a carousel ride and wild life spotting and ice cream. After all that fun we headed to Target to pick up Lilies back to school supplies. Nob Hill was the last stop before we hit home where Josh made a great dinner of skirt steak, grilled potatoes and vegys from our garden and salad. Great relaxing day!

Ava was not sure of this horse...but she was very happy to say bye to it.

Grow Baby Grow!

Minus a few set backs the garden is growing great, the corn not so much but everything else is booming. These are the first of many zucchini that have come out. We have picked yellow squash, crook neck and some Japanese cucumbers as well. These are our 7 month old puppies they are now over 100lbs each and out growing their Costco beds. But they are sleeping on them in the house all night now.
My Potatoes! We have so many pictures of these on my camera I will do a whole post on them later but here they are my home grown potatoes they were YUMMY!!

Summer happenings

I am having computer issues..my laptop is getting fixed and now Josh's computer doesn't recognize my camera....so I will get photos on here as soon as I can. I am on facebook with photos I have put on there with my phone. You can follower our family there too!
