37 weeks when will she come-place your bets

Yeah Ava is considered full term now. This means that if she should arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside me, even though my due date is still three weeks away. She can weigh 6 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. I am thinking she weighs more:-)

My goal for this weekend is to get my bag packed along with some stuff for Josh. Lilie will be moving next door so I really don't have to worry about her, Thanks Kennedys! Ava has been packed for a couple of days and we have even tested out her car seat in the car.

I had my first of who know how many weekly doctor visits today. Ava's heart rate is an speedy 155bpm. And I also got my pre-admission interview with the hospital done. So we are all set and ready for Ava to make up her mind on when she wants to make her day view!

Swimming lessons at last!

Lilie has been itching for this day, almost as much as she is for her sister to arrive. We are very lucky to have one of Lilies friends, Summer in her big class of two kids. First jump of the year:

Welcome Baby Ava Shower

The wonderful welcome Ava baby shower was put together by some wonderful friends and family. Neighbor Wendy, Grandma Pattie, Grandpa Ken & Grandma Nancy, Uncle Amanda, Ms Debbie. And attended by generous family and friends. I know our family had a good time, I hope others did too.

Signs of Summer

I had my last 3 week apart check up today, now I will be going once a week until Ava shows up. I did get to have a bonus ultrasound today. My doc got a new toy (big flat screen TV) he had to show off. I got to see Ava yawn and swallow and check out her heart beat, cute nose and eyes. I am sticking with the idea that she will look like Lilie that Japanese gene is a strong and cute one!

Sisterly Love

I walked in to my room to see Lilie write in her note book. In case you can't read almost 6 year old hand writing this is what it says:
"I like my little sister
I love my little sister
My little sister is cute and smart to"



Lilie has taken to talking to her sister. It's pretty cute she will put her mouth against my belly and introduce herself. It usually goes something like, This is your sister Lilie, how are you? Last night Josh thought he would give it a try only to get out, This is your dad then Ava kicked him square in the mouth, quite hard. I couldn't help but laugh.

Busy weekend

Between karate testing and a birthday party some how we (mostly Josh) was able to get some "nesting" inside and out done in prep for Ava's arrival. The outside wasn't as much as we had hoped, but the tree and bush landscapers will be here next weekend to finish things up.

With Ava moving into what use to be the office the office had to move some where else, and it landed in the living room:-)

We even got a new couch ordered!!
It has a extra wide recliner on one end and a comfortable press-back (reclining) chaise on the other. They are separated by a regular couch piece to make the "L" shape. The photo shows all 5 pieces, we only have room for the three. We also went with more of a mocha color, which is a little darker than what is shown. I am hoping to have it by Friday.

Week 35 out of 40!

So I am 35 weeks into pregnancy and it's only suppose to be 103-105 degrees today. Oh the fun of summer like heat:-) Lilie is very interested in how much I can stretch out.

Some average info about baby's at this stage of development:
Baby weighs 5.25 pounds. Baby is 18.19 inches long. Baby is almost completely formed now!
